Toledo heads downtown to face Bowling Green on April 13 and Michigan on May 11
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team will return to Downtown Toledo for contests at Fifth Third Field, home of the Toledo Mud Hens, on Tuesday, April 13 against Bowling Green and Tuesday, May 11 against Michigan.
Â
Toledo will face Bowling Green at the venue for the seventh consecutive season and Michigan for the fourth straight year. The battle with Bowling Green will begin at 6 p.m. while the Michigan matchup is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Â
Toledo baseball has maintained a strong partnership with the Mud Hens, triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, to be able to compete in one of Toledo's top attractions and one of Minor League Baseball's premier venues.
Â
"We're excited to return to Toledo's Fifth Third Field for two games this season," said Head Coach Rob Reinstetle. "It's one of the best minor league facilities in all of baseball and we are so lucky to have such a strong relationship with the Mud Hens. It's always such a thrill for our players to play there at such a top-notch stadium. Every time we take the field there, we're met with incredible support. Northwest Ohio and the City of Toledo have shown a true passion for college baseball, and we can't wait to be back in front of those amazing fans."
Â
Last season, Toledo's two games at Fifth Third Field totaled over 3,000 fans. Toledo drew 1,433 fans for an April contest against Michigan, the biggest crowd of its three matchups against the Wolverines at the venue since 2024. A few weeks later, a crowd of 1,602 watched the Rockets bash Bowling Green in the Battle of I-75, 15-5.
Â
The Fifth Third Field contests will be one of four scheduled against Bowling Green and one of two scheduled against Michigan in 2027.
Â
Tickets are on sale now at UTRockets.com/UTvsBG (Bowling Green) and UTRockets.com/UTvsUM (Michigan), and can also be purchased through the Mud Hens' box office.
