Annika Munson tallies fourth-straight singles victory
CHICAGO – The Toledo women's tennis team dropped a close tilt to UIC on Saturday evening in Chicago, 4-3.
Gaby Rondon and Anastasia Akuginova picked up a 6-3 win on the No. doubles 2 court, but it wasn't enough as the Rockets fell on the No. 1 and No. 3 court and dropped the doubles point.
In singles play, Toledo picked up wins on the No. 1, 3 and 4 courts. JJ Scholten tallied a three-set win on the No. 1 court for her third victory of the season. Sophomore Neha Guru recorded a straight-set win on the No. 3 court while Annika Munson earned her fourth-consecutive win with a 6-1, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4) win on the No. 4 court.
UIC earned wins on the No. 2, 5 and 6 courts to clinch the match victory.

Hoping these tough losses will propel future success. Today was rough. We got ourselves into another hole and just couldn't get the whole way out. Losing a 4/3 is brutal.
