Rockets Roll to 6-1 Win Over Cleveland State

Freshman Iva Jankovic picks up first collegiate singles victory
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team earned wins on five out of six singles courts to roll to a 6-1 victory over Cleveland State on Friday afternoon in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Rockets (4-2) started off the match with a doubles victory after picking up wins on the No. 1 and 2 courts.
In singles play, UT tallied straight-set wins on all five courts. Sophomore Annika Munson won her five-straight singles match while freshman Iva Jankovic earned her first collegiate singles win with a 6-2, 6-1 decision on the No. 6 court.
Freshman Anastasia Akuginova tallied her fourth singles win on the No. 5 court while JJ Scholten and Neha Guru each won their second-straight singles matches on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts, respectively.

Toledo heads to East Lansing, Mich. for a pair of matches next weekend. The Rockets will face Michigan State on Friday, Feb. 20 at 5:00 p.m. and will conclude the weekend on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2:00 p.m. against Dartmouth.
