Toledo Picks Up Wins Over Tiffin and Findlay to Open 2026 Home Season

Rockets earn 6-1 victory over Tiffin and sweep Findlay, 7-0
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team opened up home play with wins over Tiffin, 6-1, and Findlay, 7-0, at Shadow Valley Tennis Club on Friday.
Freshmen AJ Sidoti and Pannawat Suttisomboon picked up their first collegiate singles victories against Findlay. Suttisomboon earned a 6-2, 6-4 victory on the No. 5 singles court while Sidoti recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win on the No. 6 court.
The Rockets (2-3) picked up the doubles point in both matches. Cole Cozens and Charlie Snow saw action on the No. 1 court, tallying a 6-1 win over Tiffin and a 7-6 (7-3) victory against Findlay. On the No. 3 doubles court, Alejandro Gonzalez and Joshua Mackey won both matches, including a 6-4 decision against Tiffin and a 7-5 win over Findlay.
Senior Lucas Britez saw action on the No. 1 singles court for the first time in his Toledo career, picking up straight set victories in both matches. Cozens, Gonzalez and Mackey also won both singles matchups on Friday.

Toledo's match at DePaul on Sunday, Jan. 25 has been cancelled due to impending weather. The Rockets will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 31 at IU Indy. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m.
