BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Toledo women's cross country team secured a first-place finish at the Mel Brodt Open on Friday evening in Bowling Green, Ohio. Senior
Karina James led the Rockets, crossing the finish line with a time of 21:09.3.
Freshman
Lily DiCola, sophomore
Melody Jebiwot and
Bella Earl and graduate student
Jordyn Bartolomucci rounded out the Rockets' top-10 finishers. DiCola grabbed third with a time of 21:31.7 in her first collegiate race. Jebiwot took fourth overall (21:31.3) while Earl placed fifth (21:45.0). Bartolomucci finished within the top-10, taking eighth with a time of 21:50.5.
Senior
Jaydon Cirincione took 12
th with a final time of 22:37.3 and
Olivia Gang recorded  15th with a mark of 22:54.3.
Margrett Watt (18th/23:37.3) and
Lauren Zanotelli (19th/23:51.1) rounded out the Toledo runners.
Up Next
Toledo will return to action on Friday, Oct. 3 at the highly competitive Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago.
