ATHENS, Ohio – Junior
Karina James earned a silver medal in the 1500m to lead Toledo on the final day of the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Athens, Ohio.
The Rockets earned a ninth-place finish in the meet, scoring 41 points across three days of competition.
James placed second with a final time of 4:25.01, while teammate
Lianna Surtz was third with a mark of 4:25.13. Senior
Alex Bauer scored in the 1500m and the 5000m on Saturday. Bauer finished fifth in the 1500m, crossing the finish line at 4:26.62, and was seventh in the 5000m with a time of 17:21.21.
Bailey Ranta brought home a fifth-place finish in the 5000m with a final time of 17:17.95 to round out the scoring for the Rockets.
