TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's basketball team (16-11, 9-5 MAC) travels to Northeast Ohio to face Kent State (18-9, 8-6 MAC) on Tuesday, Feb. 25 looking to avenge its earlier defeat this season against the Golden Flashes. The contest will tip off at 7:00 p.m. in the M.A.C. Center in Kent, Ohio and will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Rockets are currently tied for third place with Ohio (15-12, 9-5 MAC) in the Mid-American Conference standings, one game ahead of KSU. Akron (21-6, 13-1) is in first place, two games ahead of second-place Miami (20-7, 11-3).

Toledo leads 87-57. UT swept the Golden Flashes in the regular-season series last year but lost to KSU in last year's MAC Quarterfinals and earlier this season in Toledo.

Toledo couldn't overcome a cold shooting night (38.1 FG%) in Friday's 69-68 defeat to arch-rival Bowling Green before a season-high 6,837 fans in Savage Arena.
Sam Lewis led the Rockets with 21 points and his free throw gave UT a 68-67 lead with 21.6 seconds to play. Javontae Campbell, who scored a game-high 23 points, answered for the Falcons (11-16, 5-9 MAC) with the game-winning layup with just 1.7 seconds left.
Joining Lewis in double digits were
Sonny Wilson (13 pts.) and
Javan Simmons (10 pts.).
Bryce Ford also contributed a career-high 11 rebounds.
LEADING THE ROCKETS
Lewis and Wilson are tied for the team lead in scoring and rank eighth in the MAC with 15.4 ppg. Simmons is averaging 11.5 ppg and a team-high 6.6 rpg, while
Isaiah Adams is scoring 11.0 ppg. Simmons also lead the MAC with 3.0 offensive RPG.
ABOUT KENT STATE
Kent State saw its season-high five-game winning streak end with Friday's 96-92 (OT) setback at Miami. The Golden Flashes top the MAC in scoring defense (67.8 ppg) and FG% defense (41.7). Senior VonCameron Davis leads KSU with 15.3 ppg.
Toledo swept its regular-season series vs. KSU last year and in the 2020-21 season. The Golden Flashes won twice in the 2021-22 campaign and the only meeting in 2022-23. UT has been eliminated from the MAC Tournament by KSU each of the last two seasons.
