Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team fell at No. 3-ranked Ohio State in its 2025 dual season opener on Saturday afternoon in Columbus.

The Buckeyes (2-0) took wins on the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles courts to get in front, 1-0. Cole Cozens and Charlie Snow were involved in a tough battle on the No. 1 doubles court and tied, 3-3, before abandoning the court for singles play.

In singles play, Ohio State took a 2-0 lead after Charlie Snow fell in straight sets to Chris Lie on the No. 4 court. Hanamichi Carvajal dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Jack Anthrop on the No. 1 court, while Lucas Britez was defeated in straight sets on the No. 5 court to clich the victory for the Buckeyes.

Cozens was competing against Bryce Nakashima on the No. 3 court and tied in the first set, 6-6, but the match was ruled unfinished. Poonthong Komolpisut was tied 2-2 in the second set against No. 11-ranked Aidan Kim before the match was abandoned.

UP NEXT
Toledo will host its first home matches of the season on Jan. 25-26. The Rockets will take on IU Indy on Saturday, Jan. 25 and Butler on Sunday, Jan. 26. Both matches will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
