TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo men's tennis Head Coach Al Wermer announced his team's 2025 fall schedule on Wednesday. The Rockets will host two tournaments, one outdoors at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts and one indoors at Launchpad Tennis.

Werner said his squad is excited to get back on the court.

"We wrapped up the 2024-25 season last April -- a long time ago," said Wermer. "We have guys who are taking the game quite seriously, and they've also played a lot and improved since April. This fall we're including some compelling competition that includes four ITF Pro Tour events. These will give our team terrific opportunities to learn and improve."

The Rockets will begin the fall slate with the Everybody vs. Cancer Tournament at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts on Sept. 19-21. Toledo will then compete in the ITF World Tour M15 in Ann Arbor, Mich. from Sept. 22-26 before hosting an Alumni Day event on Saturday, Sept. 27 prior to the Homecoming football game.

Competition continues at the ITF World Tour M15 in Lexington, Ky. on Oct. 6-10 before heading to the ITA Midwest Regional in Chicago on Oct. 16-20. The squad will then see action at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships on Oct. 24-26 in Kalamazoo, Mich.

November begins with the ITF World Tour M25 in East Lansing, Mich. on Nov. 3-7 and continues with the ITA Conference Masters in San Diego, Calif. on Nov. 6-9. The final ITF World Tour M25 will be in Columbus, Ohio on Nov. 10-14 before wrapping up the fall slate with the Zach Barden Memorial Invitational at Lauchpad Tennis (5400 Central Avenue in Toledo) on Nov. 14-16.

The Rockets return seven letterwinners from last season, including All-MAC First Team honoree Hanamichi Carvajal and All-MAC Second Team member Poonthong Komolpisut. The team welcomes two newcomers in Alejandro Gonzalez, a transfer from the University of Texas Permian Basin, and AJ Sidoti, a freshman from Avon, Ohio.

The 2026 dual match schedule will be released at a later date.
