TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team fell to Miami 13-0, as the RedHawks slugged four home runs in Mid-American Conference action at Scott Park on Friday.

Toledo (19-19, 12-7 MAC) saw its overall record evened while Miami (16-19, 9-10 MAC) broke a three-game losing streak in conference play.

Toledo got two hits each from junior
Brayden White and freshman
Charlie Scholvin. White extended his hitting streak to 16 games. Six others recorded a hit on the day.

Senior
Grant Umberger (L, 5-3), started and went 6.0 innings, giving up six runs and recording nine strikeouts. UT also got appearances from senior
Matt LeLito, sophomore
Dane Hall and redshirt freshman
Ryan Hughes.

The Rockets and RedHawks will play the middle game of the series on Saturday, April 20, with first pitch at Scott Park set for 1 p.m on ESPN+.

- Miami took a 3-0 lead in the fourth on a three-run home run to center.
- A sacrifice fly and a two-run home run extended Miami's lead to 6-0 in the fifth.
- The RedHawks' third home run of the day gave them an 8-0 advantage midway through the seventh.
- Miami picked up four runs in the eighth on two RBI doubles, an RBI single and a sacrifice fly.
- A ninth-inning solo home run capped the scoring for the Redhawks.
