TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team wrapped up the Rocket Indoor Invitational, taking on Cleveland State and Oakland in individual competition at Twos Athletic Club in the final fall action of the season. No team scores were kept.
Freshman
Catherine Rhegness had a strong showing during the weekend, posting a 3-0 singles record and going undefeated with a 6-0 record against all competition in the fall slate. "Cat works really hard," said Head Coach
Tracy Mauntler. "No one puts in more time practicing so she is really deserving of her success this fall."
Fellow freshman
Neha Guru also was strong in singles play this weekend, earning a 2-1 record over her opponents.
Sophomore
Gaby Rondon also posted a 2-1 singles record on the weekend after represneting the Rockets in the Mid-American Conference Fall Individual Championship last weekend. "Gaby really made some strides with her game this fall and is competing with a lot of confidence right now." said Mauntler.
This was the final competition of the fall for the Rockets. They will resume action on Jan. 31 in a dual-match against Cleveland State at Twos Athletic Club.
"There has been a lot of learning this fall with such a young team," said Mauntler. "I'm definitely seeing some improvements, but we have a lot of work to do before the spring."
