Toledo, Ohio – The Toledo women's track and field team was highlighted by
Sydney Caddell at the Tiffin Track Invitational and
Morgan Hicks at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Caddell set two personal-best marks in the ling and triple jumps, while Hicks led the distance runners in the 5000m open race in Azusa, Calif.

Four Rockets finished in the top-10 of the morning's 100m dash to open the day in Tiffin. Senior
Alexia Moehling made her debut in that event, posting a time of 12.49 to finish third. Freshman
Paris Gosha recorded a PR of 12.54 to finish seventh, while sophomore
Jimesha Ragland crossed the finish line in seventh with a personal-best time of 12.54. Freshman
Khamani Jones placed tenth with a time of 12.67, also a career best.

Senior
Ava Moran and Moehling represented Toledo in the prelims of the afternoon 100m event. Moran crossed the finish line in ninth, recording a time of 12.34, while Moehling (12.49) matched her time from the morning event to place 12
th.

Junior
Shianne Johnson and freshman
Laryah Worthy finished neck and neck in the 400m with times of 59.70 and 59.71, respectively. Johnson placed 12
th in the event while Worthy finished in 13
th and recorded a PR. Freshman
Khamani Jones finished 18
th in the event with a personal-best time of 1:00.68.

Moehling and sophomore
Mayson Bates both earned top-five finishes in the 100H. Moehling posted a time of 14.28 in the prelims before finishing second in the finals with a time of 14.22. Bates recorded a prelim time of 14.68 and later ran a 14.60 in the finals to place fourth.

Junior
Audrey Witham was the lone Rocket to compete in the 800m championship race. She cleared her old personal-best by nearly four seconds, crossing the finish line at 2:14.86 to place seventh.

Sophomore
Sydney Caddell shattered her personal best in the long jump, reaching a mark of 5.64m to place second. The jump was the longest by a Rocket this season. Sophomore
Amara Okpalaoka placed fifth in the event, jumping a distance of 5.41m.

Okpalaoka and Caddell also competed in the triple jump, finishing second and fifth, respectively. Okpalaoka recorded a mark of 11.50m while Caddell reached a mark of 10.77m, her second PR of the day.

Freshman
Makenna Englund reached a height of 1.54m in the high jump, placing 13
th.

Four members of the Toledo men's cross country team competed in the 1500m championship race in Tiffin. Leading the way for the Rockets was senior
Cooper Losey, who finished fourth with a time of 3:51.54. Junior
Geoff Howles and freshman
Joshuah Taylor finished side by side in 12
th and 13
th, posting respective times of 3:56.71 and 3:56.84. Freshman
Eric Hollar crossed the finish line at 4:11.42.

Juniors
Lou Trois and
Krystal Clark opened the second day of competition for the Rockets at the Bryan Clay Invitational, running in the 800m invite. Trois recorded the fastest 800m time by a Rocket this season, crossing the finish line at 2:10.26. Clark added a time of 2:12.72 in the event.

Morgan Hicks crushed her personal record by nearly fifteen seconds to cross the line third with a time of 15:40.96 in the 5000m open race. Freshman
Lianna Surtz ran a 17:03.22 in her first attempt at the event to finish 17
th overall.

The Rockets will conclude their weekend at three separate meets on Saturday. Seven Rockets will compete at Tiffin, with field events will begin at 10:30 a.m. EDT and running events to start at 11:00 a.m. EDT. The distance runners will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational, with heats set to begin at 5:00 p.m. PDT. Two members of the Toledo men's cross country team will run at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic, in the 5000m invite race at 9:15 p.m. EDT.
