Head Coach Rob Reinstetle
"I'm really excited to once again play downtown at Fifth Third Field in this Battle of I-75 series. The past two years have been a huge success and it just proves that the baseball community in Northwest Ohio is really strong. It's always a great experience for the players and our program. This year, Toledo Athletics has been unified with the motto 'Team Toledo'. I can't think of a better example of the City of Toledo and the University coming together than to watch college baseball at a first-class ballpark. A special thank you to the Toledo Mud Hens for making this game happen again this year. I expect this year's contest to surpass last year's game and for this event to continue to grow each year."
Bowling Green Head Coach Kyle Hallock
"We are looking forward to the Battle of I-75 game at Fifth Third Field. This great rivalry is being played on the biggest stage we have in Northwest Ohio. Each of the past two years, this game has produced a tremendous college baseball environment, and we know this year will be no different."
EVP/GM of the Toledo Mud Hens Erik Ibsen
"The Toledo Mud Hens are honored to host the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University at Fifth Third Field again in 2023. This is a wonderful event for our community and we look forward to continuing this rivalry game in Downtown Toledo and to showcase these two Division I programs and players for years to come."
