TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's volleyball team will make its way to Akron this weekend for a pair of Mid-American Conference matches.

The Rockets (8-12, 6-3 MAC) and Zips (10-10, 5-4 MAC) will face off on Friday at 6:00 p.m. before playing again on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Toledo enters the weekend in a tie with Northern Illinois (8-13, 6-3 MAC) for fifth place in the MAC, while Akron and Ohio (10-11, 5-4 MAC) are both a game back in the standings. The top six teams will advance to the MAC Tournament at the conclusion of the regular season.

Taylor Alt Approaching History
Entering play on Friday, senior Taylor Alt owns 1,539 career kills, putting her just eight away from passing L.G. Bass (1,546 kills, 1984-87) for most in school history. She is also averaging 4.00 kills/set for her career, which is the top mark in program history.

Alt's 1,539 career kills rank 16th among active Division I players, but her 385 career sets played are fewer than every player ranked above her. She ranks eighth among active players in career kills/set and is one of eight Division I women's volleyball players to be averaging at least four kills per set in their career.
