TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's volleyball team returns home this weekend to host Buffalo for a pair of Mid-American Conference matches.
Friday's match begins at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday's match will start at 4:00 p.m.. Both will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Rockets and Bulls each enter this weekend with 5-1 MAC records, making them two of five conference programs sitting at 5-1 or 6-0 entering the fourth week of league play.
Last Time Out
Toledo went 2-0 last weekend with wins at Miami and at Bowling Green.
Backed by the play of fifth-year senior
Ryann Jaqua, who eclipsed 2,000 career digs during the match, Toledo had no problem dispatching Miami on Thursday night. It marked the second straight season the Rockets defeated the RedHawks, the first time they have won back-to-back matches in the series since winning three in a row from 2004-06. After a close first set that came down to the wire, Toledo wasn't seriously challenged in the second and third sets. The Rockets never trailed in the final two sets and hit a combined .362 over the final two frames to make quick work of the RedHawks.
In Friday's Battle of I-75 matchup at Bowling Green, the Falcons won the first set, 25-17, to take an early lead in the match before Toledo won a marathon second set by a score of 28-26. The Rockets needed less time to win the third set, 25-18, to take a 2-1 lead in the match, but BGSU won the fourth set, 25-22, to even the match and force a fifth set. Toledo dominated the final frame and won, 15-9, to win the match. The Rockets have won two of their last three rivalry matches in the Stroh Center.

- Alt is averaging 3.99 kills/set for her career, which is currently the best mark in school history and ranks eighth among active Division I players.
