CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Toledo women's tennis team completed its weekend at ITA Midwest Regionals on Sunday.

Sophomores Julia Kuszynski and Shalini Tallamraju ended the weekend with a bang, earning a huge doubles victory over Northwestern's Justine Leong and Vanessa Streng. The Rocket duo topped their Wildcat foes 7-6 (4) in the consolation doubles bracket on Sunday.

Also competing were sophomore Cassie Alcala and junior Sloane Teske, who already advanced to ITA Midwest Super Regionals with a pair of big wins on Saturday. The tandem fell to a doubles team from Wisconsin, 8-5, in a match that helped determine seeding for Super Regionals.

ITA Midwest Super Regionals will be held Oct. 21-24 in Columbus, Ohio.

Next up for the Rockets is their Rocket Invite next weekend, which will be held on Oct. 1-2.
