ATHENS, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's volleyball team lost its Mid-American Conference opener on Friday in three sets.

Toledo (9-4, 0-1 MAC) and Ohio (1-11, 1-0 MAC) will play again tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.

Set 1 (Ohio, 25-14)
Toledo used a 5-0 run to take an 8-5 lead early on. Later, Ohio went on a 5-0 run of its own to take a 12-10 lead and wouldn't look back for the remainder of the set. Ohio scored 15 of the final 18 points to win 25-14 and take a 1-0 lead in the match.

Set 2 (Ohio, 26-24)
The second set was the closest of the night thanks to a late Rocket comeback. Trailing 23-18, the Midnight Blue and Gold scored six of the next seven points to tie the score at 24-24. Back-to-back blocks helped Toledo pull within two, then a service ace from Alt and a pair of Ohio errors helped bring the score to a stalemate. The Bobcats were able to score the next two points, however, to win 26-24 and take a 2-0 lead in the match.

Set 3 (Ohio, 25-19)
Toledo held its latest lead of the match in the third set, with a kill from Uluave putting UT ahead 14-13. But the Bobcats scored the next six points to surge ahead, 19-14, and held a lead for the remained of the match. OU's Olivia Margolies registered the final point of the night, her match-high 13th kill, to send the Rockets off with a loss.
