Rockets Travel Down I-75 to Face Bowling Green

TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo softball team will start a lengthy road trip with a doubleheader at Bowling Green on Wednesday, April 28. This is the second meeting between the Rockets and the Falcons this season. The I-75 rivals played a doubleheader at Scott Park on April 20. BGSU won the first game, 5-3. The Rockets were ahead in game two, 6-1, when the game was suspended in the fourth inning due to a snow squall that hit the area.

ABOUT TOLEDO
Toledo (19-16, 9-10 MAC) will look to bounce back after dropping four contests against MAC leader Miami (31-7, 21-1 MAC) over the weekend. Senior Dayna Denner leads the Rockets and is second in the MAC with a .450 batting average and has a league-leading 12 home runs. Senior Erin Hunt (14-11) continues to be Toledo's top pitcher, sporting at 3.88 ERA with 138 strikeouts in 148 innings.
 
SCOUTING BOWLING GREEN
Bowling Green (19-21, 11-14 MAC) lost three of four games to Kent State over the weekend. The Falcons are led by Greta L'esperance, who is hitting .382 with 21 stolen bases. On the mound, Payton Gottshall (13-8) leads the MAC with a 1.56 ERA.
 
ON DECK
The Rockets will face another tough test, heading to Muncie for a four-game series against second-place Ball State (25-12, 19-2 MAC) starting with a single game on Friday.
