Toledo will face North Alabama on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET to close out its weekend in Memphis.

Southeast Missouri 3, Toledo 1

Set 1 (SEMO, 25-22)
SEMO started the match with a 5-0 run and was able to grow its lead to 20-11. The Rockets did not go down without a fight, though, and launched a 10-2 run to pull within two, 24-22. Toledo faced four straight set points and was able to take the point to stay alive each time, but Southeast Missouri finally closed out the first set with a kill to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

Set 2 (Toledo, 25-17)
The Rockets hit .300 in the second set and won, 25-17, to tie the match at 1-1. Southeast Missouri once again took an early lead, jumping out to a 6-2 advantage early on. Toledo was able to fight its way back this time and, trailing 11-8, scored four in a row to turn a three-point deficit into a one-point lead. The Rockets did not trail again in the second set, ending the game on a 13-6 run to win by eight.

Set 3 (SEMO, 25-23)
Toledo trailed early to start the third set, but scored six in a row to take a 9-6 lead over the Redhawks. Southeast Missouri was able to come back and tie the score at 11-11, and from that point on the two teams were jockeying back and forth until the end of the set. Trailing, 19-17, the Rockets scored four straight to pull ahead by two, 21-19. SEMO went on a run of its own, scoring five straight points to take a 24-21 lead over Toledo. The Rockets pulled within one, 24-23, but ended up on the wrong end of a 25-23 decision.

Set 4 (SEMO, 25-20)
The Redhawks hit .400 in the fourth set, the best hitting percentage for either team during the match. With the score tied at 10-10, SEMO scored four in a row to take a four-point lead, and the Rockets were unable to grab a share of the lead for the remainder of the match. Trailing 23-16, Toledo did score four in a row to pull within three, 23-20, but Southeast Missouri tallied the final two points it needed to win the set and the match.

Memphis 3, Toledo 1

Set 1 (Memphis, 25-22)
The Tigers started the first set on a 5-2 run and didn't relinquish their lead the entire set. Toledo pulled within a point several times, but was unable to get over the hump. Trailing by one, 22-21, the Rockets surrendered three of the next four points to fall, 25-22. Swope led all comers with seven kills in the first set.

Set 2 (Toledo, 25-15)
The second set was all Toledo from the start. The Rockets led wire-to-wire and hit .435, while holding Memphis to a -.095 hitting percentage. Toledo jumped out to an 11-3 lead early on and continued to control the second set from there. The Tigers did go on a 6-1 run at one point, but it was too little too late as the Rockets went on to win, 25-15, and tie the match at 1-1. Vance, Beasley, and Swope scored the final three points of the set to seal the deal for Toledo.

Set 3 (Memphis, 25-19)
Set three was neck-and-neck in the beginning, but with the score tied at 7-7 Memphis started to pull away. The Tigers rattled off an 8-1 run to take a commanding 15-8 lead over the Rockets. The closest Toledo got from that point on was four, 20-16, and the final score ended up at 25-19, giving the Tigers a 2-1 lead in the match.

Set 4 (Memphis, 25-21)
Toledo pushed Memphis for the entire fourth set. Trailing 10-8, the Rockets turned the two-point deficit into a two-point lead, 14-12, thanks to a 6-2 run. The Tigers returned the favor, scoring four in a row to once again take a two-point lead over the Rockets, 16-14. Toledo would grab the lead once more, at 19-18, but Memphis ended the night by scoring seven of the final nine points to win 25-21 and win the match in four sets.
