GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – The Toledo women's golf team wrapped up play in the Memphis Women's Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon with a fifth-place finish. The Rockets finished the 54-hole tournament at the par-71, 6,105-yard Ridgeway Country Club with a team total of 45-over par 897 (299-295-303).

Seniors Pinyada Kuvanun and Pimchanok Kawil led Toledo with Top-20 showings. Kuvanun tied for 11th  place at six-over par 219 (71-72-76), while Kawil tied for 16th place at seven-over par 220 (75-70-75).

Kawil led the Rockets with a four-over par 75 today, with Kuvanun, senior Natcha Daengpiem and junior Saranlak Tumfong one stroke behind at five-over par 76.

Daengiem tied for 44th place at 17-over par 230 (76-78-76), while Tumfong tied for 47th place at 18-over par 231 (78-77-76). Junior Donchanok Toburint tied for 56th place at 21-over par 234 (77-76-81).

No. 51 Penn State captured the tournament title at two-over par 854, five strokes in front of second-place Middle Tennessee's seven-over par 859 (289-282-288). Memphis' Michaela Fletcher earned medalist honors at eight-under par 205, edging out Middle Tennessee's Hanley Long by a stroke.
 
The Rockets return to action next weekend with a trip to Columbus, Ohio for the Lady Buckeye Invitational on April 13-14.
