Luka Vitosevic was named the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week, the conference announced today. This is Vitosevic's third time earning Player of the Week this season after being recognized on Jan. 16 and March 27.

Al Wermer. "He's battled, bounced back, and grown in many ways."
The Belgrade, Serbia native went 2-0 at the No. 1 singles position over the weekend, posting wins against Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. On Friday, Vitosevic came out victorious from a three-set comeback against Western Michigan's Jannik Opitz. After falling 4-6 in the first set, Vitosevic won the second, 6-3. Vitosevic clinched the win, 12-10, in the third set. On Sunday, Vitosevic earned the Rockets' sole point against Northern Illinois with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Eric Marbach.
Vitosevic and the No. 4 seed Rockets are set to challenge No. 5 seed Ball State in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Kalamazoo, Mich.
