Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo softball team (9-17) travels down the highway to Bowling Green (12-16) this weekend for the annual Battle of I-75 series. The Rockets and Falcons are scheduled to open the series with a double header at Meserve Field on Friday at 1:00 p.m. but a decision has not been made as to when the final game of the series will be played. Last Time Out
The Midnight Blue and Gold hosted Kent State last weekend for the home opener, going 1-2 in the series after falling 6-1 and 8-6 in games one and two but rallying to a 5-2 victory in the series closer. Senior 3B
Katie Cozy was the weekend standout for Toledo after going 6-for-10 with eight RBIs, one sac fly, and two homers in 11 plate appearances. The senior only struck out once, is now leading a six-game hitting streak, and is tied for seventh-most RBIs in the conference (17) after the weekend. With Cozy's contributions, UT recorded 20 hits and 12 runs through two days of action.

Last Time Against the Falcons
Toledo swept Bowling Green at home in the three-game series last season, winning 8-2, 5-4 and 5-1 in the first weekend of April while also establishing a six-game winning streak. Freshman
Bailey Curry launched her 10th home run of the season in game one, and fellow first-year
Bekah Yenrick left the park too.

Day two featured a sixth-inning rally in the middle game that helped UT complete a come-from-behind victory, and the weekend was closed by senior
Sam Showalter notching her first dinger of the year in a sixth inning rally in the final game.

Scouting the Rockets
- Sophomore Raelyn Nyren ranks first in the conference and second in the nation for HBP. The Ham Lake, Minn. has been nailed 10 times this year.
- Senior Megan Choate has the sixth-best OBP in the MAC (.479). Choate also leads the conference in walks (21) and ranks 17th in the nation. Two more and she'll tie her career-high record set last season.
- Sophomore Erin Hunt's 78 strikeouts are the fifth-most in the MAC, and her 8.2 Ks per inning rank third.
- Sophomore Kylie Norwood and freshman Brianna Robeson are currently riding six game hitting streaks. Norwood also leads the team in multi-hit and multi-RBI games with 9 and 6, respectively.
- Yenrick has reached base in nine consecutive outings, the most on the team. Senior Kaitlyn Bergman has reached in her last eight, and Choate has done it in her last seven.

Scouting the Falcons
- Bowling Green is coming off a midweek double header at Purdue Fort Wayne where the Orange and Brown walked away with a pair of wins (6-3, 5-1). Senior pitcher Meredith Miller held onto a no-no into the sixth inning of game one.
- Sisters Alex (senior CF) and Nikki Sorgi (sophomore 2B) have been a dynamic duo for the Falcons so far this season. Their names appear a combined eight times on the MAC's top-10 lists this year, with Alex tied for fifth in runs scored (20) and Nikki sitting fifth for RBIs (20).
