Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo men's tennis team will kick off spring break action in Conway, S.C. on Saturday, March 2 with a match against Coastal Carolina at 3:00 p.m. followed by a match against Ashland on Tuesday, March 5 at 1:00 p.m.
The Rockets are coming off a fresh two-match winning streak, capturing road wins over Chicago State and UIC.
On Friday, Feb. 22 UT clinched a tight 4-3 victory over Chicago State, capturing the doubles point and winning on the No. 1, No. 5, and No. 6 singles courts. Senior

Luka Vitosevic clinched the match, defeating his opponent in three sets (4-6, 6-4, 7-6(12)).
The Rockets then took on UIC on Saturday, Feb. 23rd, where they swept the flames 4-0. Senior duo
Omar Espinosa/Vitosevic defeated Niko Wasilewicz/William Wale 6-3, while Anzalone/Vukotic defeated Johan Hedstrom/Kasper Parlklo 6-4. In singles play Vitosevic, Espinosa, and Suksathaporn earned two-set sweeps, with Suksathaporn clinching the match.
Scouting Coastal Carolina
Last season Coastal Carolina went 6-15, posting three sweeps on the season over Francis Marion, North Carolina A&T, and Norfolk State. The Chanticleers ended the season with a ten match losing streak, dropping five matches 4-3 to UNC Wilmington, Monmouth, Winthrop, USC Upstate, and ECU.
Luiz Faria is CCU's lone senior and led the Chanticleers last season with a 10-8 singles record, playing primarily at the No. 1 position. Faria saw cycled through all three doubles positions, posting a 6-11 doubles record. Sophomore Juan Castellanos finished with an 8-8 singles record last season, the team's second-highest winning percentage. Castellanos also went 6-3 in doubles, tying for second on the team in doubles victories.
The Chanticleers are currently 4-3 this season with a 4-0 sweep over South Carolina State and two tight 4-3 victories over Gardner-Webb and Winthrop. CCU will play UNC Wilmington on Friday, Mar. 1, prior to their match against the Rockets.
Scouting Ashland
This is the debut season for the Eagles in recent history. The Ashland men's tennis program started in 1967 and lasted for nearly 30 years before the 2018-19 reboot.
AU has a young team with six freshmen, one sophomore, one junior and one senior. Senior Stanizlaw Grzeslo joined the Eagles after a stint at Southern Wesleyan, where he posted a 19-34 career singles record and 17-40 career doubles record.
Ashland is 4-2 this season with victories over Walsh, Oberlin, Findlay, and a 7-0 sweep of Ohio Wesleyan.
