Rockets Welcome Eastern Michigan to the Glass City Thursday

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's soccer team (3-9-0, 0-4-0) welcomes Eastern Michigan (3-7-2, 2-2-0) to the Glass City for a 7 p.m. matchup at Paul Hotmer Field on Thursday, Oct. 10.

"Eastern is a strong team and will be a tough matchup for us Thursday night," said head coach TJ Buchholz. "Our girls have had a great week of training and they continue to get better on both sides of the ball. We're definitely looking forward to the challenge that Eastern will bring to us.

Following Thursday's match, the Rockets will head to Mount Pleasant, Mich. for a 1 p.m. matchup against Central Michigan Sunday afternoon.

OPENING XI
  • The Rockets are 14-12-1 against Eastern Michigan, claiming 11 of those wins in the Glass City.
  • Toledo is looking for its third-consecutive win over Eastern Michigan.
  • Toledo is looking for their first MAC win of the season, and fourth overall win.
  • The Rockets are 2-3-0 at home, claiming their last home victory on Sept. 8 against Wright State.
  • Freshman Stephanie Currie leads the Rockets with five goals, three game-winners, and 13 points.
  • Junior Sophia Lewis has recorded three assists this season, the Rockets are 2-0-0 when she assists.
  • Lewis and Currie are tied for ninth in the conference in assists, as both have three so far this season.
  • Junior Madison Perrin is two wins away from having the third-most career wins in program history.
  • Perrin is sixth in the conference in saves per game (4.89) and fifth in shutouts per game (.111).
  • The Rockets have yet to allow a goal on an opponent's corner kick.
  • The Eagles are coming off of a 2-0 weekend, beating Northern Illinois and Western Michigan in Ypsilanti, Mich.
