Rockets Extend Unbeaten Streak in 1-1 Decision at IU Indy

Morgan Spitler scores for the third-straight match

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Toledo women's soccer team moved its unbeaten streak to five matches, wrapping up non-conference play in a 1-1 tie at IU Indy at Michael A Carroll Stadium on Sunday.

The Rockets (3-1-2) took the lead in the eighth minute, its earliest goal of the season, before the Jaguars responded with a goal of their own late the in half. Toledo controlled much of play in the second half, out-shooting IUI, 9-5, but the second half finished scoreless.

The Rockets' five-straight unbeaten matches (3-0-2) is the longest streak since Oct. 10-24, 2021, when Toledo also earned three wins and two ties in a five-match stretch.

Sophomore Morgan Spitler scored for the third-straight match, becoming the first Rocket to score in three-straight contests since Morgan Ottenson netted goals in four-straight times in 2022. Emma Rhoades earned her assist of her collegiate career on the goal.

QUOTING HEAD COACH MARK BATMAN
