Toledo Will Host Education Day Against Iona on Nov. 14

TOLEDO, Ohio - Toledo will host Rocket Women's Basketball Education Day on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in conjunction with its non-conference matchup against Iona at 11:00 a.m. in Savage Arena.

Tickets for this event are $3.00 per person when 15 or more tickets are purchased. Groups not meeting the 15-person minimum must pay regular price for tickets which are $7.00 for youth and $14.00 for adults.

Seating for Education Day will be general admission and based on availability. UT encourages all groups to purchase their tickets early to secure lower bowl seating. Once the lower bowl seating is filled, orders will be placed in Upper East seating.

Additionally, Toledo is offering box lunches available for $6.00 and it includes choice of sandwich (ham & cheddar, turkey & swiss or     beef & cheddar), piece of whole fruit, individual bags of potato chips, assorted cookies and bottled water.

Along with Education Day, UT is hosting a Rocket Reading Program. Toledo has broken up the program into two groups, Grades K-3 and 4-8. The goal is for children in Grades K-3 to read a minimum of 10 books and in Grades 4-8 to read 10 chapters between Aug. 31-Nov. 2. The reward for those who complete the program is one FREE non-premium ticket to a women's basketball game vs. Duquesne on Nov. 18 or Iona on Nov. 14 or a men's basketball contest against Wilberforce on Nov. 10 or North Alabama on Nov. 28.

Toledo opens its 2018-19 season at NCAA Championship participant Maine on Nov. 10. Less than one month later, UT entertains 2018 NCAA champion Notre Dame (Dec. 8) in Savage Arena for the second time in the last three years.
