TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball home opener against Gonzaga on Sunday, Nov. 9 will be nationally broadcast on CBS Sports Network, the Mid-American Conference announced on Thursday.
The Rockets and Bulldogs will now tip off at 2:30 p.m. ET that day instead of the originally scheduled 2:00 tip.
The matchup will feature the defending WCC regular-season champion Bulldogs against a Rockets squad which built up a 24-9 record and a MAC Tournament Championship Game appearance last season. Both teams played in the 2025 Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament.
Gonzaga won the only other matchup between the two sides in 2023 in Spokane.
The Rockets have made several appearances on national TV in recent seasons. Last season, Toledo played on national TV three times, appearing on the Big Ten Network at Iowa and on CBS Sports Network for both a road matchup at Ball State and the MAC Tournament championship against the Cardinals.
Toledo's most recent nationally televised home contest came against Michigan on Dec. 6, 2023. The Rockets throttled the Wolverines, 69-46 that night in front of a sold-out Savage Arena crowd of 7,082 on CBS Sports Network.
The early-season battle is part of several national TV windows for the Mid-American Conference. CBS Sports Network will also air league matchups on Jan. 25 and Feb. 1, a MAC-SBC Challenge contest featuring the leagues' top teams on Feb. 8 and the MAC Tournament Championship Game on March 14. Another MAC contest will air on ESPNU on Saturday, March 7, during the final weekend of the regular season.
Toledo opens the 2025-26 regular season at Troy on Monday, Nov. 3 in the MAC-SBC Challenge.
