Toledo, Ohio— The Toledo baseball team will play its final non-conference regular season contest on Tuesday when it visits the Dayton Flyers at 1:00 p.m. Originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m., the game time was pushed up due to an uncooperative weather forecast in the area.

Probable Starters
Tuesday: at Dayton, 1:00 p.m. (RHP Josh Dixon vs. LHP Jacob Youngpeter)
Last Time Out
Toledo dropped two out of three contests over the weekend to Ball State. The 5-4 win on Saturday was sandwiched between losses on Friday (7-5) and Sunday (9-1). The Rockets were led by Sam Shutes in the victory, who threw seven innings and struck out seven, the fifth time in his last six outings that he has thrown at least seven innings. Also, AJ Montoya hit the 30th home run of his career, becoming the fourth player all-time in program history with at least 30 home runs, joining Dan Sherwood (35, 2008-11), Jared Hoying (34, 2008-10), and Bill Bronikowski (30, 1994-97).
Rocket Notes
Scouting the Competition
Earlier this season, Toledo defeated Dayton at Scott Park, 7-6. The Flyers scored four in the top of the first to jump on the Rockets, but they would muster just two more scores on four hits the rest of the game. Toledo never backed down, scoring once in the third, twice in the fifth, once in the seventh, and three in the eighth to take the lead. Freshman John Servello drove in the game-winning run on a single up the middle, scoring senior Brad Boss.
The Flyers' loss to UT started a six-game losing streak, but have played to a record of 9-7 since the skid was snapped. Last week, UD defeated MAC opponents Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan by a combined score of 23-9.

Rocket Notes
- This is the first season of the newly-formatted MAC Tournament, where six teams make the field. Toledo (18-30, 11-13 in MAC play) currently sits two games back in the loss column from Western Michigan (22-23, 11-11) and one game back from Eastern Michigan (20-30, 12-12) with one weekend remaining. The Rockets are very much alive in the hunt for a MAC Tournament berth.
- Ross Adolph has 13 home runs this season, two away from tying the single-season home run mark at Toledo. The record is held by Mike Ernst, who hit 15 homers in 2000. Adolph also has 13 career triples, which is tied for second-most in school history, four away from tying Ron Warga (1996-99) for most all-time.
- Freshman Chris Meyers has reached base in 20 straight games. He is the second freshman this season to have an on-base streak of at least 20 games (John Servello, 23 games).
- Over the last month, Trace Hatfield is leading UT regulars with a .355 batting average, .432 on-base percentage, and 17 runs.
