Toledo Heads to Muncie for Saturday Matinee vs. Ball State

SETTING THE SCENE
Toledo (19-7, 11-2 MAC) looks to continue its torrid pace over the last two months when it visits Mid-American Conference West Division foe Ball State (17-9, 8-5 MAC) on Saturday, Feb. 17. Tip-off time from Worthen Arena is 2:00 p.m. with the game being streamed on ESPN3.
The Rockets, who are 14-2 since opening their season with a 5-5 record, possess a three-game lead in the West Division over the Cardinals. BSU handed UT one of its two league setbacks with a 75-63 win in Savage Arena on Jan. 30. Toledo is tied with Buffalo (19-7, 11-2 MAC) for the league's best record in its quest for its first regular-season MAC title since the 2013-14 campaign.
In Tuesday's 82-74 wire-to-wire win over Ohio, Toledo raced out to a 15-0 lead in the first five minutes. Junior Jaelan Sanford topped the Midnight Blue and Gold's attack with 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting, with senior Tre'Shaun Fletcher and junior Nate Navigato tallying 17 and 15 points, respectively. Toledo knocked down 10 of its first 15 shots and six of nine three-point attempts but finished with a 41.2 FG%.
