TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo (20-28, 8-7 MAC) travels to Muncie, Ind. this weekend for a three-game conference series against Ball State (27-20, 11-4 MAC). Due to inclement weather, the original schedule has been adjusted. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, April 21 starting at 1:00 p.m. and a single contest on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m.

ROCKET LEADERS
    Pacing the Toledo offense is senior second baseman
Chandler Rice who holds a .391 batting average on 63 hits in UT's 48 games. She has tallied a team-high 38 runs, 15 doubles, two triples, 11 homers, 34 RBI, 14 stolen bases and .714 slugging percentage.
     Junior outfielder
Ashley Rausch trails Rice with a .316 batting average, 43 hits, 29 runs, 11 doubles and 13 swiped bags.
     Sophomore
Heather Webb (9-9) leads the pitching staff with a 3.54 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 134.1 innings pitched. Webb has thrown for a team-high seven complete games and has registered three shutouts.

SCOUTING BALL STATE
    The Cardinals are hitting .267 as a team and are led by senior Rachel Houck who has recorded a .329 batting average on 52 hits. Houck holds a team-best 47 runs, 16 doubles, 11 home runs and 31 RBI. Freshman Janae Hogg has a second-best .327 batting average, while junior Maddy Labrador trails Houck with 31 runs, 10 doubles and 20 RBI. Junior pitcher Carolyn Wilmes (12-9) holds a 3.03 ERA with 116 strikeouts through a team-high 118 innings.

LAST MEETING
    The Rockets swept last season's three-game series with Ball State. Toledo defeated BSU 2-1, 5-0, 3-2 in the final victories of its 13-game win streak.

LOOKING AHEAD
    UT will remain on the road for a mid-week game vs. Oakland (April 26) before entertaining Western Michigan in the Rockets' 2017 Scott Park finale on April 28-29.
