Toledo Finishes Tied for Seventh Place at Mission Inn Spring Spectacular

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL – Toledo finished tied for seventh place with a score of 918 (304-306-308) on Sunday at George Mason's Mission Inn Spring Spectacular. The two-day tourney was played at the El Campeón Course (Par-72, 6,966 Yards) at the Mission Inn Golf Resort.
Freshman Joe Bryce fired a one-over par 73 in today's final round and tied for 28th place at 12-over par 228 (77-78-73).
Right behind Bryce were junior Colin Joseph (79-75-77) and freshman Thomas Thurloway (71-76-84), who tied for 41st place at 15-over par 231.
Rounding out the Rockets' lineup were sophomore Spencer Shoemaker (T-53rd/77-81-77=235) and junior Stephen Watts (T-83rd/85-77-81=243).
In addition, freshman Grant Godfrey competed as an individual and finished tied for 78th place at 25-over par 241 (88-75-78).
TCU (301-283-291=875) defeated Marquette (298-296-292=886) by 11 strokes to capture the team title, while Ohio's Peyton White secured medalist honors with a mark of one-under par 215 (72-70-73).
UT will return to the links on Saturday-Sunday, April 1-2 when it competes in the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, IN.
