TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo women's tennis team faced a tough 7-0 loss to Cincinnati on Friday afternoon at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club. With the loss, UT drops to 3-5 on the season.

"We definitely did not have our best performance today," said Head Coach
Tracy Mauntler. "I don't want to take anything away from Cincinnati because they are a great team. However, we didn't play them with the fire that we are capable of."
Junior
Colleen O'Brien forced the Bearcat's Kelly Poggensee-Wei to three sets at No. 2 singles, claiming a win in the opening set, 6-2, but then fell, 6-4, 6-4, to drop the match.

Sophomore
Claire Aleck also put up a battle against opponent Harley Hutchinson. Aleck claimed her first set, 6-4, but Hutchison fought her way back to down Aleck, 6-4, 10-2, at the No. 6 spot.

The Rockets are set to play Wright State tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
