QUICK HITTERS
•  Toledo looks to extend its season-opening win streak to three games when it hosts unbeaten Horizon League favorite Oakland (2-0) on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7:00 p.m. The contest will be televised on ESPN3. The Rockets' matchup vs. Oakland is the first of four games as part of the Miami HoopHall Invitational. As part of the event, UT will also travel to Syracuse (Nov. 22) and Kansas (Nov. 28) and host Texas Southern (Dec. 2).
•  Toledo has opened the season with home victories over Saint Joseph's (98-87) and Ohio Northern (72-62). Senior forward
Tre'Shaun Fletcher propelled the Rockets to Tuesday's win over the Polar Bears with his first career double-double. The Colorado transfer tallied a career-high 27 points and 10 rebounds as well as tying his career best with seven assists.
•  Fletcher, who is one of three Rockets scoring 20.0 or more points per game, has a team-high 5.5 apg and ranks second on the squad with 8.5 rpg. Junior guard
Jaelan Sanford tops UT with 22.0 ppg with junior forward
Nate Navigato joining Fletcher at a 20.0 clip.
•  Sanford earned MAC West Division Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career on Monday after tallying a career-high 31 points and eight assists vs. SJU.
•  Sophomore center
Luke Knapke leads Toledo with 9.0 rpg and is close to averaging double-digit point totals at 9.5 ppg. Knapke's work on the boards has helped UT out-rebound its opposition by a +5.0 margin.
•  Head Coach
Tod Kowalczyk is entering his eighth season at UT and has orchestrated a dramatic turnaround since his arrival in 2010. He has guided the Midnight Blue and Gold to a 117-82 (.588) win-loss mark over the last six years, including back-to-back 20-win campaigns in 2013-14 and 2014-15. Toledo also has registered 83 victories over the last four-plus seasons, a total that ranks second among MAC members.
•  Oakland is off to a 2-0 start after posting home victories over Fort Wayne (85-71) and New Orleans (87-68). The Golden Grizzlies are one of 16 teams in the nation to return over 70 percent of their points and rebounds.
•  Senior guard Kendrick Nunn (30.0 ppg) and junior guard Martez Walker (22.0 ppg) lead Oakland in scoring after transferring from Illinois and Texas, respectively.
•  Oakland Head Coach Greg Kampe served as a Toledo assistant coach for five years (1979-84) and has posted a 583-426 win-loss mark in 34 seasons at the helm of the Golden Grizzlies.
•  Toledo holds a slim 7-6 lead in its all-time series with Oakland but the two schools have met just twice on the hardwood since 2008.

HORIZON FAMILIARITY
Toledo has faced at least three Horizon League members in non-conference play over the last six years and will face four for a third consecutive year this season.
The Rockets are 14-9 vs. the Horizon League during this stretch, including a 7-3 mark over the last two seasons.
Prior to taking over at the Rocket helm, Head Coach
Tod Kowalczyk spent eight seasons coaching in the Horizon League at Green Bay.
Â
THREE-POINT PRODUCTION
       One of Head Coach
Tod Kowalczyk's goals for the Rockets heading into the 2017-18 campaign was to increase their three-point field goals. Toledo has done just that in its first two games by converting 21-of-51 attempts for a MAC-best 41.2 conversion rate (as of Nov. 15).
UT's 10.5 treys per game also rank first in the MAC and are nearly three more than last year's average of 7.7 three-pointers per game. The Rockets also posted a 36.2 three-point field-goal percentage last year and are at 41.2 percent this season.
Toledo's 14 three-point field goals vs. Saint Joseph's in its season opener were tied for third-most in school history. The school record is 17 vs. Wright State on Dec. 22, 2003 with UT also hitting 16 vs. Marshall on Jan. 12, 2000.

ON THE HORIZON
Toledo will embark on a three-game roadtrip to Syracuse (Nov. 22), Cornell (Nov. 24) and Kansas (Nov. 28) before returning home to host Texas Southern at 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 2.
