TOLEDO, Ohio - The third-seeded Toledo women's soccer team hosts sixth-seeded Western Michigan in the Mid-American Conference Quarterfinals on Sunday, Oct. 29 at Scott Park. The match will be streamed live on ESPN3. The first 100 people in attendance will receive free pizza upon entry.

For the Rockets (9-7-3, 6-3-2 MAC), this will be there 11th tournament appearance in the last 13 years. Toledo clinched a tournament berth with a 2-1 win over Ohio and closed the regular season with a 2-1 victory over I-75 rival Bowling Green, both in come-from-behind fashion.
On the season, the Midnight Blue and Gold is led by junior captain
Hannah Scafaria. The Kalamazoo native leads the team with eight goals and 17 points. Defensively, the Rockets have posted five shutouts behind an 89-save season from redshirt freshman
Madison Perrin.Â
UT has won a conference-best four MAC Tournament Championship, including three in a row from 2006-08, its last coming in 2011. Toledo will make its second conference tournament appearance under third year head coach
TJ Buchholz.
Western Michigan (10-7-1, 5-5-1 MAC) controlled its own destiny on the final day of the regular season and punched its ticket to the MAC Tournament with a 1-0 win over Northern Illinois.Â
The Broncos are led by Grace Labadie and Emma Kahn with five goals and four goals on the campaign. Like Perrin, WMU goalkeeper Stephanie Heber has played every minute in goal for the Broncos and has made 83 saves.
WMU has claimed three tournament titles in program history for the third-highest total in the conference. The Broncos won two titles in three years from 2013-15.
The Rockets and the Broncos have met three previous times in the postseason. The two teams traded 1-0 victories in 2010 and 2011 with the Rockets winning the latter. WMU defeated Toledo in 2015 by a score of 3-0.
Earlier this season, Toledo and Western Michigan played to a scoreless draw in Kalamazoo.Â
The winner will move on to play in the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 3 at the highest remaining seed in the tournament.
