QUICK HITTERS
• Toledo (11-9, 4-3 MAC) returns home following Tuesday's 79-76 road win over Ohio to host Northern Illinois (12-8, 4-3 MAC) on Saturday, Jan. 28 in the first game of a doubleheader. Tip-off time in Savage Arena is set for 2:00 p.m. with the game being televised on the American Sports Network and streamed on ESPN3.
•  The Rockets enter Saturday's game in a four-way tie for first place in the MAC's West Division with the Huskies, Ball State (13-7, 4-3 MAC) and Eastern Michigan (12-8, 4-3 MAC).
• Senior forward Steve Taylor, Jr. led UT to its win over the Bobcats with a 25-point, 15-rebound, five-assist performance. He was joined in double figures by senior guard
Jonathan Williams (15 pts.), sophomore forward
Nate Navigato (12 pts.) and sophomore guard
Jaelan Sanford (11 pts.).
• Williams ranks second in the MAC with a team-high 20.4 ppg and possesses a team-high 79.5 FT%. In league play, he ranks third with a 21.4 scoring mark.
• Taylor ranks second on the team in scoring with 15.6 ppg to go along with a MAC-best 11.9 rpg and a team-high 3.7 apg. He ranks fifth nationally in rebounding (through Jan. 25) and is second in the country with 9.5 defensive rpg. In addition, Taylor's 15 double-doubles are tied for third in the nation.
• Sanford is also a double-digit scorer for the Rockets with 13.2 ppg and is playing a team-high 34.8 mpg. Navigato, who is averaging 9.1 ppg and has started in UT's last three games, has scored in double digits in five of his last six contests with 13.3 ppg in this stretch.
• As a team, Toledo ranks second in the MAC with 81.5 ppg, a 47.9 FG% and a 1.16 A/TO ratio. UT leads the MAC in league play with 17.0 apg and a 1.50 A/TO ratio.
• The Rockets have tied a school record (set in the 1971-72 campaign) with a nation-high five overtime games this season. UT has a 2-3 win-loss mark in its OT contests with wins over Youngstown State (Nov. 15) and Evansville (Nov. 25) and losses against Middle Tennessee (Nov. 26), Green Bay (Dec. 3) and Marshall (Dec. 10).
• Toledo's five OT games are tied for first in the nation with Indiana State and Youngstown State.
• UT will look to avenge a pair of losses to NIU last year, who swept the season series for the first time in five years with a 71-66 road win followed by a 58-49 home victory.
• Northern Illinois brings a two-game losing streak to the "Glass City" following home setbacks to Ohio (78-69) and Kent State (73-66). The Huskies rank second in the MAC in scoring defense (67.8 ppg) but are 11th in scoring offense (72.7 ppg).
• Junior center Marin Maric is NIU's lone double-digit scorer with 13.1 ppg to go along with a team-high 7.2 rpg.
POST-GAME NOTES FROM UT'S 79-76 WIN AT OHIO
•  Since losing 19 in a row in Athens from 1982-2001, the Rockets have posted victories in four of their last 11 visits (including their last two trips) to The Convo.
•  UT has a 4-1 record vs. MAC East squads this year and is 23-6 since the start of the 2013-14 season.
•  The Rockets are 6-3 following losses and are 2-6 in road contests this season.
•  Toledo holds a 4-5 record when trailing at halftime and 9-2 when leading with five minutes remaining.
•  UT is 9-1 when outshooting its opposition and 9-3 when shooting 45 percent or higher.
•  Toledo is 5-3 in games decided by five points or less.
•  The Rockets outrebounded their opposition for the first time in five games and are 9-5 when grabbing more rebounds.
•  Senior forward Steve Taylor, Jr. registered his 15th double-double. He also tied career highs for field goals made (10) and field goals attempted (18) and collected a season-high two steals.
•  Senior guard
Jonathan Williams hasn't led UT in scoring in three straight games after having led the Rockets in points in the nine previous contests.
•  Sophomore forward
Nate Navigato tallied 12 points and has scored in double figures in five of his last six games.

       Following Saturday's contest, UT will close out their stretch of playing six of eight games on the road with contests at Ball State on Tuesday, Jan. 31 (7:00 p.m.) and arch-rival Bowling Green on Saturday, Feb. 4 (4:00 p.m)..
