QUICK HITTERS
• Toledo (9-7, 2-1 MAC) looks to bounce back from its first conference defeat when it travels to Mt. Pleasant, MI on Friday, Jan. 13 to face MAC West Division foe Central Michigan (10-6, 0-3 MAC). Tip-off time from McGuirk Arena is set for 7:00 p.m. with the game being televised on the CBS Sports Network.
• The Rockets dropped a 90-74 decision at Western Michigan on Tuesday after opening their MAC season with home victories over East Division foes Buffalo (88-56) and Miami (91-76). UT tied its season low with nine turnovers against the Broncos but that couldn't offset WMU's red-hot 70.0 percent shooting mark.
• Senior guard
Jonathan Williams led four Rockets in double figures vs. Western Michigan with 19 points but saw his career-high eight-game streak of scoring 20 or more points end. Williams ranks second in the MAC with 20.5 ppg and possesses a 46.6 FG%, a 39.3 3PFTG% and a team-high 80.5 FT%.
• Senior forward Steve Taylor, Jr. ranks second on the team in scoring with 15.0 ppg to go along with a MAC-best 11.7 rpg and a team-high 3.7 apg. He ranks fifth nationally with 11.7 rpg (through Jan. 11) and is second in the country with 9.5 defensive rpg. In addition, Taylor's 12 double-doubles are tied for fourth in the nation.
• Sophomore guard
Jaelan Sanford is also a double-digit scorer for the Rockets with 13.6 ppg and is playing a team-high 34.6 mpg. In three MAC contests, Sanford is averaging 16.0 ppg and a team-high 4.7 apg.
• As a team, Toledo ranks second in the MAC with a 48.1 field-goal percentage.
• The Rockets have tied a school record (set in the 1971-72 campaign) with a nation-high five overtime games this season. UT has a 2-3 win-loss mark in its OT contests with wins over Youngstown State (Nov. 15) and Evansville (Nov. 25) and losses against Middle Tennessee (Nov. 26), Green Bay (Dec. 3) and Marshall (Dec. 10).
• Toledo's five overtime games are tied for the national lead with Indiana State and are one more than Cal. State-Fullerton, Colgate, Eastern Kentucky and Eastern Washington.
• The Chippewas sit at the top of the MAC in scoring offense (88.6), free-throw percentage (.769), three-point field goals per game (12.3) and fewest turnovers per game (10.5). CMU is still looking for its first conference victory after opening league play with losses at EMU and NIU and an 89-85 home setback to Akron earlier this week.
• Junior guard Marcus Keene leads the nation with 29.3 ppg with backcourt mate, senior guard Braylon Rayson, topping the MAC in league scoring with 23.7 ppg. Keene also ranks second in the MAC with a team-high 5.4 apg.

POST-GAME NOTES FROM UT'S 90-74 LOSS AT WESTERN MICHIGAN
•  Toledo's season-high five-game win streak was snapped. The Rockets were attempting to win six games in a row for the first time since Jan. 24-Feb. 10, 2015.
•  UT has lost nine of its last 10 games played in Kalamazoo.
•  Toledo has a 2-4 win-loss mark when shooting less than 45 percent from the field and is 2-6 when registering a lower field-goal percentage than its opponent.
•  UT was outrebounded in a game for just the third time (1-2 win-loss mark) in 16 games this season.
•  Toledo lost for just the third time in nine games when four or more players scored in double digits.
•  The Rockets are 1-4 when allowing 80 or more points.
•  Western Michigan 70.0 field-goal percentage and 76.0 second-half FG% were the highest by a Rocket opponent this season.
•  Senior guard
Jonathan Williams has led UT in scoring in eight straight games but saw his career-high eight-game streak of scoring 20 or more points end with a 19-point effort.
•  Williams ranks 13th on UT's all-time scoring list with 1,457 points and is 31 points away from tying for 12th place. Williams' 20.5 ppg is the highest by a Rocket for a season since Craig Thames averaged 21.8 ppg in the 1995-96 campaign.
•  Senior Steve Taylor, Jr. grabbed 10 rebounds (for his eighth-straight double-digit rebound outing) and has led UT in rebounding in a team-high 12 contests.
•  Taylor's 11.7 rpg is the highest by a Rocket for a season since Casey Shaw averaged 10.0 rpg in the 1997-98 campaign.
•  Senior guard
Jordan Lauf tallied 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting for his fourth double-digit outing. Lauf has an amazing 78.4 FG% (29-of-37) in his last nine games and leads UT with a 67.2 shooting mark.

ON THE HORIZON
       Following Friday's contest, the Rockets will return home to host arch-rival Bowling Green (7-9, 1-2 MAC) on Tuesday, Jan. 17 before visiting Kent State (9-7, 1-2 MAC) on Saturday, Jan. 21 and Ohio (11-3, 3-0 MAC) on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
