Buffalo, NY – Toledo opened up its 2016 fall schedule this weekend at the UB Invitational in Buffalo, NY.

Freshman DeeDee Leenabanchong defeated Wright State's Taylor Culbertson in the Flight C consolation-bracket championship match.

Junior Colleen O'Brien made her way into the Flight A consolation finals but was defeated by Niagara's Stella Peisakhova in a tie-breaker.

Freshman Mimi Kendall-Woseley and junior Megan Miller placed third in their respective flights by defeating their Wright State competition. Kendall-Woseley downed Haily Morgan in Flight C and Miller bested Megan Brdicka in Flight D.

In Flight A doubles action, there was a battle for third place between two Rocket pairs. Kendall-Woseley and junior Sidnay Huck came out on top of the battle and defeated teammates O'Brien and sophomore Claire Aleck.

Toledo will return to the court in two weeks when they host the Rocket Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 7-8.
