Kyesha Neal Earns Honorable Mention All-America at NCAA Championships

Eugene, OR – Senior Kyesha Neal became the second Rocket to make the Honorable Mention All-American team with her performance at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, June 11.

"Kyesha had a fairytale season," head coach Linh Nguyen said. "She's added unheard of distances to her throws and achieved amazing things in a few short months. To have her finish as the best thrower in Toledo history and at the NCAA Championships was only fitting. She has set the standard for all future throwers at UT."

Neal finished 17th with a toss of 52.11m, just missing her personal best mark of 52.92m. The toss was her second-best of her great UT career. Kelsey Card of Wisconsin won the event with toss of 63.52m.

Yesterday, Senior Liz Weiler wrapped up an incredible Toledo career at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with an Honorable Mention All-America award in the 3,000m steeplechase after finishing in 18th place.
