TOLEDO, OH – Four Rockets scored on day two of the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, May 13. The event is held at the University of Toledo.
"Today went pretty well overall," head coach
Linh Nguyen said. "We scored some points today and we have a lot of available points to pick up tomorrow."

Senior
Kyesha Neal earned the team six points with her third place finish in the shot put with a toss of 15.31m. The mark was one of her best of the season and was her highest finish ever at a MAC championship event.
Â
"To hit your second-best throw at a championship event is a great performance," assistant throws coach
Trevor Stutzman said. "Especially when it was on her final throw. She really stepped it up this year."
Two Rockets scored in the 3,000m. Senior
Liz Weiler earned five points in a fourth place finish, while sophomore

Â
"Coming in, we were hoping for two to score," Nguyen said. "I'm pretty happy with this event. Championship racing is different from invitational racing. The athletes get fired up for it."

Weiler was happy to run the championship meet at home.
Â
"I'm so thankful that today was at home," Weiler said. "It means a lot to compete here and score for the team."
