TOLEDO, OH – Toledo completed day one of the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Championships on Thursday, May 12.
 
The only running event Toledo was set to participate in - the 10,000m race - was postponed after six laps due to lightning in the area. Sophomore Delainey Phelps and senior Priscilla Timmons will now run the race at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
 
"You just don't know how everyone is going to feel tomorrow with six laps of racing," head coach Linh Nguyen said. "We will do what we can to get them recovered and ready to go for tomorrow morning."
 
Toledo also had three student-athletes – junior Hannah Saba, freshman Maddie Jarrett and freshman Alissa Jenkins – compete in the pole vault and freshman Anna Bellman compete in the javelin. Bellman finished 14^th in the javelin with a throw of 35.62m. No UT athlete set a mark in the pole vault.
 
The Rockets will begin day two of the MAC Championships with the 10,000m on Friday, May 13 at 8:30 a.m.
