Hillsdale, MI – The Toledo track & field program wrapped up the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays at a rainy Ken Herrick Track on the campus of Hillsdale College.
Several Rocket picked up personal bests on day three of the event. Sophomore
Stephanie Barlow ran the 1,500 in a personal best 4:41.98 en route to a fifth-place finish. Sophomore
Delainey Phelps also earned a PR in the same event with a time of 4:45.95.
Many of the sprinters posted personal bests as well. Sophomore Kristiana Collins picked up a PR in the 200m and 400m with a times of 25.55 and 59.68. Collins finished ninth and tenth in the 200 and 400, respectively. Freshman
Christina Johnson also posted a best in the 200m with a time of 25.57, and sophomore
Josie Yesmunt picked up PRs in the 100m and 200m with times of 12.63 and 26.14.
Yesterday In the field events, junior
Madeline Pacella recorded the second-highest high jump in the Mid-American Conference so far this season and a personal best at 1.76m to win the high jump. Senior
Kyesha Neal also picked up a victory in the shot put with a 15.09 toss. Neal also moved into second in school history in the hammer toss with a 51.50m throw.
On the track, Junior
Maja Pacaric qualified for the MAC Outdoor Championships with a personal best time of 4:27.64. Senior
Liz Weiler also recorded the fifth-best time in the MAC this season with a time of 4:26.70 and bested the MAC qualifying time by over five seconds.
Toledo will be back in action next weekend for the first home meet of the season on Friday, May 6.
