QUICK HITTERS
• Toledo (17-14, 8-10 MAC) looks to rebound from Friday's 79-75 home setback to Eastern Michigan (17-14, 9-9 MAC) when it meets the Eagles in Ypsilanti, MI on Monday, March 7 in the first round of the 2016 Mid-American Conference Tournament presented by VisitMyrtleBeach.com. Tip-off time is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Convocation Center with ESPN3 streaming the game.
• The Rockets are the No. 9 seed in this year's tourney, while EMU is the No. 8 seed. The winner of Monday's matchup will face No. 1 seed Akron in the MAC quarterfinals on Thursday, March 10 at Noon in Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena.
• UT has eliminated Eastern Michigan from the MAC Tournament in each of the last two seasons, posting a 59-44 triumph in the 2014 semifinals and a 78-67 third-round victory in 2015.
• Toledo is playing in the first round of the MAC Tournament for the first time since 2012 when it posted a 60-53 home win over Miami. The last time UT was on the road for a first-round contest was when it dropped a 74-57 decision to Ohio in 2011.
• The Midnight Blue and Gold has a 28-30 all-time record in the MAC Tournament and is 7-4 in first-round games. UT is 2-9 in MAC Tournament road games with its two victories coming at Northern Illinois in 1984 and Western Michigan in 1996.
• The Rockets have dropped five of their last six contests since posting a season-high four-game win streak to open the month of February.
• The Rockets dropped a high-scoring affair, 91-85, in their initial meeting with the Eagles in Ypsilanti on Feb. 20. EMU shot a scorching 68.0 percent from the field, including a red-hot 68.8 percent from three-point range.
• Toledo let a nine-point second-half lead slip away in Friday's loss to EMU. The Eagles dominated the glass by a 24-13 margin in the final 20 minutes, while junior Raven Lee tallied 16 of his team-high 26 points in the final stanza.
• Senior Nathan Boothe and junior Jonathan Williams rank among the MAC's top scorers with Boothe setting the pace at 19.4 ppg and Williams in third place at 17.8 ppg. Boothe also is second in the MAC with 7.1 defensive rpg, third with a team-high 9.0 rpg and an 83.5 FT% and 11th with 3.5 apg.
• UT tops the MAC with 16.8 apg and is second with 78.1 ppg, a 46.1 FG%, a 74.9 FT% and a 1.46 assist/turnover ratio.
• Eastern Michigan leads the MAC in league games only in scoring offense (78.4 ppg) and ranks last in scoring defense (79.4 ppg). The Eagles are also at the top of the league in overall games with 9.4 steals per game and a plus-3.3 turnover margin.
• Freshman center James Thompson IV tops the MAC with 10.5 rpg and a .FG% and is 10th with a team-high 15.0 ppg.
ROCKET ROUNDUP FROM UT'S 79-75 DEFEAT TO EASTERN MICHIGAN
• EMU's plus-10 rebounding margin was the largest by a UT opponent in MAC play this season.
• The Rockets' last two defeats have both come with Toledo holding a halftime lead. The Rockets are 14-4 when leading at the half.
• Toledo lost for the second time in 17 games this season (and second game in a row) when registering a higher field-goal percentage than its opponent.
• UT lost for the fourth time in 20 outings (and second game in a row) when shooting higher than 45 percent.
• Toledo set a school record with 256 three-point field goals this season, eight more than the 2002-03 squad's total of 248. UT's 699 three-point attempts are the most by a Rocket team.

• Freshman guard Jaelan Sanford tied his career high with a team-best six assists in addition to tallying 11 points and four rebounds in 29 minutes.

Toledo is tied for 22nd nationally (through March 5) with 16.6 apg, tied for 23rd with a 1.46 A/TO ratio and its 75.4 FT% and tied for 39th with fewest fouls/game (17.2).
Individually, Nathan Boothe is tied for 24th with 7.1 defensive rebounds per game and tied for 41st with 19.4 ppg.
