Winston-Salem, NC – Toledo track & field wrapped up the Wake Forest Open at Kentner Stadium on Saturday, March 19.
 
Four Rockets picked up top-eight finishes on day two, bringing the total to 10 during the weekend. Senior Brooke Tullis picked up the second Rocket victory of the meet in the 3000m with a time of 9:45.91.  Tullis finished over 17 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Sophomore Delainey Phelps and senior Priscilla Timmons finished fourth and sixth in the same event with times of 10:09.66 and 10:12.52, respectively.
 
Freshman Katie Dewey finished second in the discus with a 45.41m toss.

Yesterday, six Rockets finished in the top-eight of their events.  Senior Liz Weiler picked up the only Rocket victory of the day in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:45.84.  Weiler did not relinquish the lead for the entire race.
 
Senior Kyesha Neal took home the second highest finish of the night in the shot put with a 14.62m throw. Junior Ty'Shai Freeman finished fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 11.64m.  Junior Madeline Pacella also picked up a fifth place finish in the high jump with a jump of 1.63m. Senior Julia Pusateri finished sixth in the 1500m invitational race with a time of 4:33.61.
 
Freshman Katie Dewey won her heat in the shot put with a personal best 12.49m toss.
 
Toledo will be back in action next weekend at the Raleigh Relays.
