QUICK HITTERS
•   Toledo (4-5) plays the final non-conference road contest of its 2016-17 campaign when it travels to Huntington, WV to face Conference USA member Marshall (5-3) on Saturday, Dec. 10. Tip-off time from the Cam Henderson Center is set for 7:00 p.m. with the game being streamed live on conferenceusa.com and herdzone.com.
•   The Rockets snapped a three-game losing streak with Wednesday's 73-65 home victory over Detroit Mercy. UT trailed 44-33 with 16:35 to play before rallying for the victory.
•   Senior guard
Jonathan Williams paced UT against the Titans with a career-high 29 points and also tied his career best with six assists in 38 minutes.
•   Williams is leading the Rockets with 18.0 ppg, with senior forward
Steve Taylor Jr. averaging 15.7 ppg, a MAC-best 12.0 rpg and a team-high 3.9 apg.
•   Taylor ranks third nationally with 12.0 rpg (through Dec. 7) and leads the country with 10.3 defensive rpg. Taylor's seven double-doubles rank first in the MAC and are tied for first nationally with Washington State's Josh Hawkinson and Samford's Wyatt Walker.
•   Sophomore guard
Jaelan Sanford is also scoring in double digits for the Rockets with 13.0 ppg, including 18 points in Wednesday's win over Detroit Mercy.
•   UT's four overtime games this season are the most in the nation with Eastern Washington, FIU and Seattle having played three contests requiring at least an additional five minutes.
•   Head Coach
Tod Kowalczyk is in his seventh season at UT and has orchestrated a dramatic turnaround since his arrival in 2010. He has guided the Midnight Blue and Gold to a 102-70 (.593) win-loss mark over the last six years, including back-to-back 20-win campaigns in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
•   Toledo played just one home game in the month of November. The Rockets were on the road for six of seven games in November and will play five of their next six contests in Savage Arena.
•   Marshall is undefeated in five home games but winless in its three road contests. The Thundering Herd have dropped their last two contests - an 89-80 defeat at Eastern Kentucky (Dec. 3) and a 96-85 setback at Chattanooga (Dec. 6).
•   Junior guard Jon Elmore paces Marshall with 22.1 points, 6.6 apg and 1.6 spg and ranks 11th in the nation in assists per game and 20th in scoring.
•   Senior guard Stevie Browning (13.1), junior forward Terrence Thompson (12.0), senior forward Ryan Taylor and senior guard Austin Loop (11.4) are also scoring in double digits .for the Thundering Herd.
POST-GAME NOTES FROM UT'S 73-65 VICTORY OVER DETROIT MERCY
• Head Coach
Tod Kowalczyk evened his record vs. Detroit Mercy at 12-12, including a 3-3 mark vs. the Titans at the Rocket helm.
• Toledo is 3-2 when trailing at halftime this season. In the 2015-16 season, UT won just once in 11 contests when it was behind after the first 20 minutes.
• The Rockets' 46 second-half points were a season high, while UT's 30.4 first-half field-goal percentage was a season low.
• Detroit Mercy's 36.4 FG% in the second half was the lowest by a Toledo opponent this season.
• Toledo's bench scored a season-low five points.
• Senior forward
Steve Taylor Jr. registered his seventh double-double of the season and is the only Rocket to score in double figures in every game.
• Senior guard
Jonathan Williams' career-high 29 points marked the 17th 20-point outing of his Rocket career. He also tied his career best with six assists and eight free throws, grabbed a season-high two steals and shot a career-high 10 free throws.
• Williams moved into 20th place on the Rockets' all-time scoring list with 1,291 points.
• Senior center
Zach Garber grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in 17 minutes and has hauled down 17 rebounds in 34 minutes over his last two contests.
• Sophomore guard
Jaelan Sanford tallied 18 points for his fifth double-digit outing of the season. Sanford has made 14 of his last 16 free-throw attempts (87.5 percent) after opening the season by making 19 of his first 29 attempts (65.5 percent) from the charity stripe.
ON THE HORIZON
   The Rockets will begin a season-long five-game homestand on Saturday, Dec. 17 vs. Southeastern Louisiana (5-4). UT will also host Loyola (IL) (8-2) on Dec. 20, NAIA foe Ohio Christian (5-6) on Dec. 30 before opening MAC play vs. Buffalo (4-5) on Jan. 3 and Miami (4-5) on Jan. 7.
