TOLEDO, OH – Toledo closed out Homecoming Weekend undefeated with the help of a 3-2 defeat over Kent State on Saturday night in Savage Arena. The Rockets improve to 12-8 overall and 5-3 in the league, while Kent State falls to 11-10, 4-4 MAC.

Kent State evened the score with a 25-14 victory in Set 2 and held UT to a .029 attack mark as a team. The Golden Flashes took the lead by claiming the third set, 25-23.

The momentum switched hands in the fourth and Toledo powered to a 25-14 victory. UT held Kent State to a .032 hitting mark, while edging the Golden Flashes in kills, 14-5.

Kent State could not overcome the Rockets' attack in the finale. Toledo posted an impressive .421 ATK% as a team and held the Golden Flashes to -.125.
