HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY - Toledo (3-5-0) will take a two-matchwinning streak into its non-league finale at as they take on Northern Kentucky (4-1-0) on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1:00 p.m. Â at the NKU Soccer Stadium.
The Rockets broke out of a scoring slump in a big way last weekend, netting four markers in the two Contests. UT defeated Oakland 3-1 on Friday and Wright State 1-0 on Sunday to stop a five-match scoring slump. Junior
Kiersten Johnson had a breakout weekend for the Midnight Gold and Blue, scoring two goals against the Golden Grizzles, and assisting on the match-winner from to take down the Raiders.

TJ Buchholz knows what the two victories meant to the team.
"After playing a very challenging non-conference schedule and working out some kinks, it was great to open at home with two wins," Buchholz said. "It all came together during the weekend and that was very exciting for the team"
Johnson echoed Buchholz's sediments.
"As we get closer to Mid-American Conference play, those two wins were a great confidence booster for the squad," Johnson said. "We've played a really tough non-conference schedule, and we're a better team for it."
Northern Kentucky has started out strong this fall and outscored its opponents 14-2. NKU has only suffered one loss this year, dropping a contest against Big Ten foe Illinois. The Norse will begin its Horizon League schedule at Youngstown State on Friday before welcoming the Rockets two days later for the first meeting between the two programs.
UT begins conference play next weekend on Friday Sept. 25 at 7:00 p.m. against Northern Illinois and Sunday, Sept. 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Western Michigan.
