Ypsilanti, MI – Toledo dropped a 3-0 decision to the Eastern Michigan Eagles (10-8, 2-3 MAC) on Friday evening in Ypsilanti, MI. The Rockets fall to 3-15 on the season and 0-5 in the conference.

Saige Thomas led UT's attack with a .400 attack percentage (11-1-25), while junior OH
Mary O'Connor tallied nine kills and a .300 ATK%. Thomas also posted a team-high four rejections at the net.

Carly Townsend quarterbacked the Rockets recording 25 assists, and sophomore DS/S
Brianna Foster added 15. Townsend also notched seven terminations and four digs.

Maurissa Leonard tallied 23 digs in the backcourt and Foster recorded eight.

UT's match against the Eagles was highly contested throughout the contest. The first set saw 16 tie scores and six lead changes. The Rockets managed to take control of the set 24-20 until the Eagles evened the score at 29-29. EMU managed to pull away with a 31-29 victory after a Toledo attacking error and an Eastern Michigan termination.

The second set also required extra points and had 12 tie scores. UT held the Eagles to a .080 ATK%, while being limited to a .111 mark themselves. After the Rockets tied the score at 25-25, EMU pulled away after a kill by Jordan Smith and an attack error by Townsend.

The scores in set three remained tight with 11 tie scores. Eastern Michigan posted an impressive .371 hitting mark as a team and pulled away to a 23-18 lead. EMU scored three out of the last five points to take the set 25-21.
