TOLEDO, OH –Toledo volleyball downed arch-rival Bowling Green 3-2 (27-25, 24-26, 25-13, 14-25, 15-6) in a five-set battle on Friday evening in Savage Arena. The triumph moves UT up to 4-18 on the season and 1-8 in the conference, while the Falcons drop to 5-17, 1-8 MAC.

Rachel Vidourek dominated Toledo's attack posting a .435 attack percentage and notching 12 kills. She also recorded a team-high six rejections at the net. Sophomore OH

Annie Beasley added 10 and nine, respectively.
Freshman S/RSH
Carly Townsend quarterbacked UT's attacking efforts with 41 assists. She also posted a team-high six blocks, five kills and 17 digs on the night.

Maurissa Leonard led the backcourt with 21 digs and senior DS
Maddie Strall posted 13.
Toledo and BG looked evenly matched in the first set, posting .214 and .205 hitting percentages respectively. UT was able to pull through with a 27-25 victory.
Though the Falcons held UT to a .087 ATK%, while posting a .237 mark, the Rockets managed to take set two into extra points. The set saw 12 tie scores, with the last at 24-24 before BG managed to take the last two points to win the set 26-24.
The Rockets dominated the third set, posting a .303 mark and holding BG to a .000 ATK%. UT never trailed and recorded a 25-13 win.
Bowling Green turned up their intensity in set four and won 25-14.
The Midnight Blue and Gold never trailed in the fifth set, winning 15-6. UT hit .333% while restricting the Falcons to a -.059 mark.
Toledo will look to maintain its home-dominance this weekend with a match against Miami tomorrow evening at 5:00 p.m.
