TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo volleyball team concluded the Rocket Invitational on Saturday afternoon, falling to Duquesne 3-1 (27-25, 27-25, 20-25, 25-15).
Sophomore OH Alyssa Ehrhardt had a monster game for the Rockets, setting a career-high with 20 kills (.327 ATK) and adding eight digs as well. Junior S Alex Hines tallied 27 assists and nine digs, while freshman libero Lauren Bakaitis had 10 digs for UT.
Fellow freshman RS Rachel Vidourek was second on the team with 10 kills.
Ehrhardt now leads the Rockets with 128 kills, while Vidourek has posted an impressive 83 kills in her first collegiate season.
The Rockets were limited to a .152 attack percentage by the Dukes and Duquesne also recorded eight total team blocks.
Duquesne was led by senior MH Arielle Love (19 kills, .621 ATK) and junior MH Lacey Levers (12 kills) on the offensive end and had three players with double digit digs on the day.
The Rockets will begin Mid-American Conference play on Friday, Sept. 26 when they travel to Northern Illinois and they will take on Western Michigan in another road match the following day.
