BLOOMINGTON, IN - The Toledo men's tennis team lost its first match of the weekend, falling to No. 58 Indiana by the score of 6-1 on Friday, Feb. 21.

The Rockets fall to 4-10 on the season.

"Our doubles communication and teamwork looked great," head coach Al Wermer said. "We hung around in singles and almost turned the corner. I enjoyed our effort again tonight."

Junior Mark Singnil posted the team's only win, improving his winning streak to six matches, with a 7-6, 5-7, 13-11 victory in No. 1 singles. Singnil is now 9-3 overall on the season and 7-1 in the No. 1 slot.

Each doubles team put up a tough fight as sophomore Garrett Cona and freshman Stjepan Sisko fell 8-6 in the No. 1 doubles spot, Singnil and junior Nicky Wong lost 8-4 in the No. 2 slot, and freshman Boris Pak and junior Roberto Meza trailed 7-6 when the match was called short.

Cona also had a strong performance in singles play, winning the first set, and taking his opponent to a deciding third set before ultimately coming up short.

The Rockets have two matches on Saturday, as they face off with Butler at 12:00 p.m. and IUPUI at 5:30 p.m. in Indianapolis.
